Boat Building

Crunch Time is Here!

June 15, 2016

IMG_1637 IMG_1635So we sold our house in a mere 6 days. Closed already, renting back. Boat is painted with a new black bottom coat and a red boot-stripe. I’ve installed inspection plates in the water tanks and diesel tank, and therefore could clean them out. Holy Moly, the water tanks are now white inside after rounds of bleach, and PBW (Pro Brewers Wash) dumped in them. Can’t wait to fill them with Bend water, the major thing I’ll miss for the next few years. Diesel tank is spotless and ready to be filled. Also added sending gauges and new filler hoses. Building 2 custom diesel and gasoline tanks to add capacity. Dive compressor is being built. It’s all coming together. I wasn’t planning on replacing the plumbing, but one thing lead to another and I just finished installing new lines, valves, and fixtures. Tossed the old heads, too. Nothing better than removing someone’s old shit. 🙂  Moldy headliner, removed, and is being replaced with painted cedar bead board. Many projects left, but that is a boat. The wife did say that the new $1000 little black dress I put on my girlfriend was sexy. So glad I married her. Life is good.
